Florence Loring

A retired Saugus Union School District teacher, Florence Loring is a proud new Raising the Curtain Foundation board member. Her career in education, rich in directing student theatrical performances, aligns seamlessly with her long-standing involvement in the local theater scene as a costume designer. Through her board role, Flo aims to extend the transformative magic of the arts to children, driven by her belief in the power of theater to enrich lives. Her extensive experience in education, grant writing, and leadership roles in various arts-related organizations, including The Gift of Song and The Include Everyone Project SCV, underscores her commitment to fostering arts education in the community. Flo's vision for the Newhall Family Theatre includes offering classes, workshops, and internships for underserved students, aiming to make the theater a hub for children’s arts in the valley.
